Autumn Glow could be something special as she dominated the Up And Coming Stakes at her second start on Saturday.
Kerrin McEvoy (Autumn Glow – Winner)
“I think she is pretty good. She has gone a long way in her couple of starts and she just gives you that good horse feel. She had the right scenario today with a light weight on her back but at her second start to give me that sort of feel I’d say she’s got a very high ceiling. I think there is still a bit of growing. Her wither will come up a bit once she fully furnishes. Just going to the gates she switched on from the first run to the second run. She sort of towed me around and I thought ‘she is on the money’. Even after I got into that nice spot and I was asking her to come back and settle she wanted to overdo it a tiny bit. She is still learning her craft which is exciting again. It was a brilliant win by her.”

“He is a lovely colt. He has a bright future being lightly raced. We got beaten by a very smart filly.”
Tom Sherry (Snack Bar – 3rd)
“Yeah massive run. I thought he did a great job. He got a little bit further back than I wanted to. I thought he quickened up really well in the straight. I think he will benefit a lot from the run.”

Reece Jones (Iron Hawk – 4th)
“He finished off superbly. Blinkers on today seemed to do the trick to really switch him on. He will get better over a little bit more ground and with more racing experience. He’s not fully furnished yet.”
Rachel King (Media World – 5th)
“Lovely colt first up. He is going to take plenty of improvement from that. Finished off well.”
Jason Collett (Enriched – 6th)
“Travelled well. Got held up at a vital stage. Wasn’t strong that last sort of 50m when he might have been entitled to be”

“Face value he was disappointing. See how he pulls up and goes from there.”

They were too sharp for her. She will be better over further.
Zac Lloyd (Axius – 8th)
He’s a lovely colt. I really have a lot of time for this horse. Just today wasn’t his day.
