There are just seven more games in the remaining in the NFL season, but the divisional round is perhaps the best weekend of the year. We have eight of the best teams in the league going up against each other and some big wins to be had.

I will likely be adding some more picks before the games so make sure to check back.

Houston Texans @ Baltimore Ravens

I have been lower on the Ravens than most this season. I think they are a good solid team, but not a special one. They do everything well and they are always going to be hard to beat. Many of the starters have also not played since week 17 and we have seen in recent years how often that can hurt these teams with a bye. I believe the Texans can do it. Even more so against the spread. CJ Stroud is a special talent, but we should not underestimate just how well the rest of the team have played around him. DeMeco Ryans has done a fantastic job and should be named coach of the year. Nico Collins has emerged as a top pass catcher and defensively they make plays seemingly every single week. This has the chance to be an incredible game, and one that I think the Texans can come away from with a big, big upset.

Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco 49ers

The Packers have been one of the stories of the second half of this season. Matt LeFleur has done an incredible job. His young offence made up of Jordan Love and a bunch of rookies or second year players has been fantastic. But I think this is where the story ends. The 49ers are the one special team in the league, for me. They are so efficient and can beat you in so many ways. The only games they have lost this year have been when they have been hit with big injuries. They are as healthy as a team could be at this stage of the season. If Green Bay are going to cause an upset, they are going to need to get ahead early and hold on. I just do not see many game scripts that lead to a Packers win here.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Detroit Lions The atmosphere in Detroit this weekend is going to be electric. They will not have been expecting to host another playoff game. The Lions are the much better team on paper. The offence is incredible when it is rolling. The only problem this season is that there have been many spells where it just seems to fall apart. At their best, the Lions are a contender. At their worst they could lose this by 20. The Buccaneers pulled off a great upset last week with their win over Philadelphia, and they are certainly capable of doing it again here. Baker Mayfield’s comeback has been great to watch, and one last run with Mike Evans and the rest of the offence has been great to see. But I think this could be where it comes to an end. I see this game playing out as the Lions getting ahead big early, and I do not see this as a game that suits the Bucs.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Buffalo Bills

They have saved the biggest game for last this week and it has the potential to be incredible. These two teams have played out some amazing games in recent years and hopefully this is another. The Chiefs have been underwhelming almost all year long. They have just never really got going. Mahomes has been good, but not up to his own high standards. Travis Kelce still does not look 100% healthy. The Bills on the other hand feel like a team destined to go to the Super Bowl this year. They closed out the season with a huge win streak against a brutal schedule and have carried that into the playoffs. They look so good right now and it feels like now is their time.
