The 2022-23 All-NBA First Team was announced on Wednesday. The players selected were forwards Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jayson Tatum, center Joel Embiid, and guards Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Doncic.
Antetokounmpo of Athens, Greece was on the NBA’s best regular season team, the Milwaukee Bucks. He averaged 31.1 points per game, 11.8 rebounds per game, 5.7 assists per game, a field goal percentage of .553, three-point percentage of .275 and free throw percentage of .645.
Tatum of St. Louis, Missouri, is with the Boston Celtics. He averaged 30.1 points per game, 8.8 rebounds per game, 4.6 assists per game, 1.1 steals per game, a field goal percentage of .466, three-point percentage of .350, and free throw percentage of .854. Tatum’s 2225 points also led the NBA.
Embiid, the season’s MVP, of Yaounde, Cameroon is with the Philadelphia 76ers. He averaged a league-high 33.1 points per game, 10.2 rebounds per game, 4.2 assists per game, 1.7 blocks per game, and one steal per game. Embiid had a field goal percentage of .548, three-point percentage of .330, and a free throw percentage of .857.

Gilgeous-Alexander of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He averaged 31.4 points per game, 5.5 assists per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, 1.6 steals per game, and one block per game. Gilgeous-Alexander also had a field goal percentage of .510, three point percentage of .345, and a free throw percentage of .905.
Doncic of Ljubljana, Slovenia, is with the Dallas Mavericks. He averaged 32.4 points per game, 8.6 rebounds per game, eight assists per game, and 1.4 steals per game. Doncic also had a field goal percentage of .496, a three-point percentage of .342, and a free throw percentage of .742.
