The 2026 Masters starts Thursday from Augusta. Here are the three golfers I believe have the best chance to win the first men’s major on the 2026 calendar.
Robert MacIntyre
You may think this pick is strange because Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre missed the cut at the 2025 Masters. I like MacIntyre because of what he has done since. The 29-year-old from McNeese State University in Louisiana haas made 26 straight cuts and has been in the mix in his last two PGA stops–fourth at The Players Championships and second at the Valero Texas Open.
Jon Rahm
The native of Barrika, Spain is a two-time major champion as he won the 2021 United States Open and 2023 Masters. You may wonder why Rahm has not cracked the top three best bets at any PGA Tour event to start the 2026 season. That is because he is on the LIV Tour. After being the LIV Champion for the second straight year in 2025 (was number one despite not winning a tournament), Rahm was a LIV champion for the third time in 2026. A month ago in Hong Kong, Rahm posted a winning score of -23 and beat Belgium’s Thomas Detry by three strokes.
Bryson DeChambeau
Normally golfers who excel in finesse shots over power do well at Augusta. However, Bryson DeChambeau has done well at the Masters the last two years as he has finished sixth in 2024 and fifth in 2025. So far in 2026, DeChambeau has two wins on the LIV Tour–both in playoffs. The first in Singapore, and the second in South Africa.
