The Los Angeles Dodgers are on their way to the 2025 World Series against either the Seattle Mariners or Toronto Blue Jays. What we saw on Saturday, was one of the single greatest performances of all-time, in any sport.

Dodgers multi-positional phenom Shohei Ohtani was simply remarkable at the plate and on the mound. In game four of the National League Championship Series at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California, Shohei Ohtani was simply doing Shohei Ohtani things. However, this performance was special because it was in the postseason. On Friday night in a 5-1 Dodgers win in game four of the NLCS, a game where the Dodgers swept the Milwaukee Brewers, Ohtani hit three home runs, and was the winning pitcher on the mound in a game where he got the win, threw 10 strikeouts, did not give up an earned run in six innings of work, and had 10 strikeouts and  three walks.

Ohtani’s first home run was 446 feet to right field in the bottom of the first inning which put the Dodgers up 1-0. Ohtani then put the Dodgers up 4-0 with a 469 foot solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Ohtani’s third dinger went 427 feet in the bottom of the seventh inning and put the Dodgers up 5-0.

Also on Friday, the Mariners took the three games to two lead in the American League Championship Series with a 6-2 victory. Toronto was up 2-1 heading to the bottom of the eighth when Seattle scored five times. The Mariners hero in game five was third baseman Eugenio Suarez, who hit two home runs, including a grand slam.
