According to Jared Dubin of CBS Sports on Sunday, the Denver Broncos have traded wide receiver Jerry Jeudy of Deerfield Beach, Florida to the Cleveland Browns. In return, the Broncos are receiving a fifth round pick and sixth round pick in the 2024 National Football League draft.
Jeudy has spent the last four seasons with the Broncos. In 16 games in 2024. he had 54 catches for 758 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The first major score came in a 24-9 Broncos upset win over the Kansas City Chiefs (11-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Russell Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio) on October 29, and the second major score came in a 27-14 Broncos loss to the Las Vegas Raiders (24-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Jarrett Stidham of Corbin, Kentucky) on January 7.
In four seasons, Jeudy had 211 catches for 3053 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. One of Jeudy’s most memorable touchdowns came in a 32-31 Broncos loss to the Raiders on January 3, 2021. Jeudy caught a 92-yard touchdown pass from Drew Lock of Columbia, Missouri. This was the longest touchdown reception during the 2021 NFL regular season. Jeudy finished the game with five catches for 140 yards. That was the second most receiving yards Jeudy has had in a NFL game. On January 8, 2023, Jeudy had five catches for 154 receiving yards in a 31-28 Broncos win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Changes are coming when it comes to the Denver Broncos’s offense in 2024. Another move they are expected to make is at quarterback, where Wilson is not likely to return. In fact Wilson is likely to join another AFC North team in the Pittsburgh Steelers this season.
