Midweek Sydney racing returns to Warwick Farm for a quality 8 race card. Our analyst is keen to be with a 2yo coming off a dominant provincial win and a Joe Pride filly returning from a spell with big wraps on her.

Best Selection: R5- Taxation
The Pride/Godolphin filly came onto the radar with 2 impressive wins at Hawkesbury and Rosehill to kick off her career before failing behind Weeping Woman and being sent for a spell. Her Rosehill 1100m win on a Heavy was ultra impressive. She settled at the rear and looked in trouble at the top of the straight wanting to duck in under pressure. Once Clark had balanced her up, she let down strongly the final 200m to score a tight victory on the line. It was interesting to hear Pride state post race that he believes she will make black type races by the autumn. This looks like a nice race to be with her if she is as good as they say.

Value Selection: R1- She’s Extra
The Kris Lees filly was backed off the map and didn’t disappoint on debut at Newcastle scoring a dominant 4.1L victory. She looks very capable of the step up to midweek company in a field that doesn’t look to have a lot of depth.
